Reflecting on a Past Leader

The concept of leadership is multi-faceted and, upon deep examination, involves purpose and people.Simply defined leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization or the state or position of being a leader. We have all had leaders, either by default or by choice. I would like your first blog post to be about a positive experience with a leader.
  1. Think of a leader that you have had in the past or have now who you respect and are/willing to follow (You don't need to name them).Call them Leader Y and identify whether they were/are: :a peer, whanau member, coach, teacher or another.
  2. What specific characteristics/beliefs/behaviours do/did they have/demonstrate that elicited such a positive response from you.

I reacted positively to her ways of leadership because I respect and admire her as a person. She not only highlights the development of a person but also develops skills which contribute to a team. She is a leader who believes in the development of and individual.

  6. My Leader Y is a friend. He is not properly a leader, but I would like to follow him everywhere, because he always uses his mind and doesn’t follow the others.
He is very responsible, he knows the time to be serious and the time to laugh. He always follows his mind and thinks about all the solution to make everyone happy. My friends and I don’t call him “leader”, but he is always there for support us, and when we have a problem most of the time he can help us.
